Lotteries and Gaming Saskatchewan is committed to making a positive impact on the communities we serve.
Gaming grants provided $251 million in 2022-23 to non-profit groups and organizations in Saskatchewan. These grants included funding for sport, culture, arts as well as volunteer firefighters, wildlife conservation, service clubs and more.
Saskatchewan has 9 casinos. In partnership with LGS, SIGA operates 7 casinos – Gold Horse (Lloydminster), Gold Eagle (North Battleford), Northern Lights (Prince Albert), Living Sky (Swift Current), Painted Hand (Yorkton), Bear Claw (North of Carlyle). SaskGaming, a wholly owned subsidiary of LGS, operates Casinos Regina and Moose Jaw.
There are more than 1,000 Lotto Spot Retailers in Saskatchewan. LGS oversees conduct and management of lottery operations and SaskLotteries is responsible for operations.
Through agreement, Saskatchewan, Alberta and Manitoba manage ticket lotteries on a regional basis and authorize WCLC to operate lottery activities.
PlayNow Saskatchewan, operated by SIGA, is Saskatchewan’s only safe, secure, legal way to gamble online.
4,200 VLTs are in more than 570 taverns and restaurant lounges in the province. LGS contracts with Western Lotteries Corporation (WCLC), a non-profit organization to operate the program.
Revenue from all provincial gaming sector channels benefits our communities and citizens. Proceeds were distributed to Indigenous, urban, and rural communities; arts, culture and sport programs; small businesses; and more.
LGS also supports the economy through indirectly creating approximately 2,220 jobs through its operators (WCLC, SIGA, SaskGaming, and SaskSport).
